Old Brigade

  • Birchall Pavilion (Contributor)

Class of 1910

  • Grove of 8 x Silver Birch Trees (with plaque) to commemorate eight classmates killed in the Great War (1914-1918)

Class of 1931

  • The Dockyard Bell and Plaque was erected in front of the Stone Frigate on 17 October 1976.

Class of 1932

  • The Harris-Bigelow Trophy is awarded to the Fourth Year OCdt for excellence in academics and athletics and is in memory of the 1932 classmates.

Class of 1933

  • The Leinster Shield and the J. Douglas Young Sword of Excellence in recognition of the Squadron winning the Commandant’s Competition.

Class of 1935

  • A grove of 10 maples with a stone table and two stone benches were planted in memory of classmates killed in the Second World War.

Class of 1936

  • Seven White Ash Trees on Bishop Road were planted in memory of seven classmates killed in the Second World War.

Class of 1939

  • Maple and Pine Trees at Crerar Entrance in memory of classmates killed in action.

Class of 1940

  • 17 x Oak Trees were planted on Precision Drive in memory of class mates killed in the Second World War.

Class of 1942

  • The Class of 1942 Memorial Trophy is awarded to the best all-round OCdt in Second Year for academics, leadership and sportsmanship.

Description

Danny McLeod Athletics Fund

  • This fund is focused on athletic excellence and its use is at the discretion of the Commandant and / or the Director of Athletics.

Dr J.R. Dacey Memorial Fund

  • Used for academic excellence in any area associated with the field of Chemistry. Funds will be directed by the Chemistry Department.

Howard B Ripstein Endowments

  • The Howard B. Ripstein First Year Endowment is awarded in recognition of an outstanding achievement by deserving first-year OCdts.
  • The Howard B. Ripstein Third Year Endowment is awarded in recognition of an outstanding achievement by deserving third-year OCdts.
  • The Howard B. Ripstein Library Endowment supports the acquisition of books for the Library.
  • The Howard B. Ripstein Research Excellence Endowment

6513 Captain John Bart Leadership Award

  • Awarded to the first-year OCdt from each Team (Flight) that demonstrates the highest level of leadership during the College Obstacle Course Competition.

6513 Captain John Bart Teamwork  Award

  • Awarded to the first-year Team (Flight) that wins the College Obstacle Course Competition.

6604 James Carruthers Scholarship Fund

  • Awarded to RETP entry students and to other RETP students at the College based on satisfying the Four Pillar requirements. 

Mechanical Engineering PG Scholarship Fund  

  • Provides a Scholarship Prize of $5,000 annually to a Postgraduate student in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

The Young Memorial Lecture Series Fund

  • Endowed by the Young Family in memory of Major J.D. Young and is focused on bringing the highest quality guest lecturers to the College to enhance academic excellence.

J.W. Brown Memorial Medal

  • To recognize the Highest Academic Standing in a Third Year Arts Program

H24263 Dr. John Scott Cowan Prize

  • Used to fund an annual award or prize of $5,000 and will be known as the RMC of Canada Prize for Excellence in Research and shall consider quality, originality and impact of the research.

Padre WA Ferguson Shield of Duty

  • To recognize the Officer Cadet that best exemplifies the qualities of civic duty.

Ronald G. Haycock Lecture Fund

  • Established by Donald H. Haycock in honour of his brother, professor emeritus and former Chair of War Studies.  This fund supports academic excellence and involves the annual Haycock lecture delivered by a distinguished War Studies graduate.

UTPNCM Fund

  • Focused on “Margin of Excellence” as determined by Otter Squadron.
